The Players

Rob Carroll / saxophone...I played with Rob years ago in a Philly horn band called Rockestra and have used him on just about everything I've recorded since. Rob has that nasty ,gritty sax sound reminiscent of the 60s soul music I love. He is also a full time musician in the Philly area.http://www.zootpro.com/zs_schedule.htm

Jeffrey "Blondie" Vonstenz / trumpet...a very talented musician who was kind enough to take time from his very busy gigging schedule to come down to the studio with Rob and lay down some great horn tracks for the CD. He plays with some of the best Latin and dance bands in the area.

Reggie Harris / saxaphone...Reggie's smooth sax tone can be heard on "You Make Me Feel Brand New" and "Love Will Be True" as well as several other tunes on the CD.He is the co-founder of the well known Philly smooth jazz band Zoe and can be heard on their new CD release "Let's Fly" . http://www.zoejazz.com/

Ron Segers / vocals...Also a member of Zoe as a guitarist, Ron was happy to take some time to come down and do some great backup vocals for me. We had talked about doing some music in the future together featuring him on guitar but tragically he was killed in a car accident in April 2010. Keli Vale / vocals...when I think of female vocals for a project her name is at the top of the list. One of the best and busiest female vocalists working in the Philly area ,Keli lent her soulful vocals to the CD as a backup singer and also featured with me on the duet” You Make Me Feel Brand New”. Kathy Errickson / vocals... Kathy has done demo work for me as a country singer but can get downright bluesy when she wants to. Great tone and fun to work with. She is looking to record some songs as an artist in the country/pop/blues genre. I would expect to hear some real good stuff coming from her in the near future.

Will Allen /trumpet...Will had done some smooth jazz tracks on trumpet for me so I called him right away when I needed some soul tunes with horns. He is one of of these young players whose talent is way beyond his years.Always a fun time with him in the studio.

Rick Crudele/ drums... I was lucky enough to get Rick to come into the studio and do five of the tracks on the CD.A long time friend from the Vineland N.J. area we had talked about recording off and on and finally had the chance on "Every Shade of Soul". Thanks Rick .It was a blast havin' ya.

Mark Beecher/drums...Mark also took time from his very busy schedule as a drum teacher/performer to record a track for me. Kevin Hogan/ engineer,producer,drums and everything else. What can I say. The music you hear on the CD is in large part due to the efforts of Kevin and his many talents. It was a long road to complete this recording but he hung in there with me all the way.Put simply, Kevin brings out the best in people in the studio which is exactly what you need an engineer/producer to do.We have worked on many other songs of mine in various genres and they all have that magic Kevinator touch.
